Hi RedWingz,
A hot toddy is a derivative from the old British navy days:
1 cup of hot water
1 oz of dark rum-more if really under the weather
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon creamed butter
2 teaspoons lemon juice
grated nutmeg
a dash of powdered cinnamon
a dash of powdered ginger
a hint of powdered cloves
Mix into a paste, dissolve in cup of hot boiling water, then add dark rum.
Quaff-to drink copiously and with hearty enjoyment.
I liked this drink in the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. One has to do what it takes to keep the scurvy away-LOL
