First you need to know the ip of the computer thats hosting the game.
In windows open command prompt type ipconfig /all
That will show any eternet adapters you have look for IP address.
Linksys will probable start with 192.168.1.101.
Next you need to login your linksys router ( I`ll pm you how to do this).
Click on application & gaming then DMZ set DMZ to enable then type in last number of ip of the computer you want to host the game server on.
Click save settings.
Keep in mind that this will dissable firewalls for that computer and it will be easyer for a hacker or virus to get on your computer.

You might have a firewall on your computer thats blocking a port.
1 .enable dhcp on the router (gives you a internal ip ie. 192.168.1.101)
2. enable DMZ on router (opens all ports and disables firewall on router)
3 make sure your modem does not have a firewall built into it (I've seen this alot on dls modems)
4. Find your external ip (google whats my ip )
5 disable firewall on your host machine. (the server)
Gab's home server worked very well I got a 45-50 ping
It's a lot of fun setting up a server good luck _________________

Batousai you have posted from 77 different ip`s in the forums, this is another reason you are having trouble, your ip keeps changing.
Your computer uses whats called an internal ip (Lan ip), your internet uses an external ip (your verizon ip).
The computer i was hosting the ut3 server toe joined had an internal ip of 192.168.1.103 the external ip (one that shows on the internet) was 65.28.230.71, if toe had tryed to join ut3://192.168.1.103:7777 he would have gotten CONNECTION FAILED.
You can go here and see what your ip is and have one of your freinds try again.
http://www.whatismyip.com/
Your westell modem has a firewall, that can be blocking the ports needed by ut3.
Do you know what model of westell modem you have?
Also the server should have its own username and password you need a 2nd email address to register another user name.
And are you starting a dedicated server or joining it from the same startup.
Starting a dedicated server will close the game and a dos box comes up when the server starts. _________________
